Impact of COVID-19

The Coronavirus has impacted on most aspects of Australian life and the Rotary Club of Hornsby District is no exception. For the good of our members and the community in general we have had to postpone all our upcoming events. This includes our Pride of Workmanship Awards, Aged Care Luncheon and Annual Changeover Dinner.

These decisions were not taken lightly as they are all important events in our calendar. They have not been abandoned we will run them when the impacts of the virus have abated later in the year.

We have shifted to online meetings, so if you are looking for us please use the Contact Us above and we will get in touch

We are 1.2 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities and around the world.

Club Activities

Bush Fire and Drought Relief

The club has activities and progams in place to provide targetted support for Bushfire Relief and Drought Relief.

Rotary International asked clubs to adopt a town to work with for Drought Relief, our club has a connection with Tottenham in central NSW going back over 30 years. We have nominated Tottenham as our town.

We have been providing work experience in Sydney for Year 10 students at Tottenham Central for decades. Last year we sent up several ute loads of goods and food to be distributed in the town and over Christmas we were able to arrange for the delivery of 25 Christmas Turkeys to the town.

We will continue to support the town this year and our President will be visiting soon to arrange the best way to spend $3500 we have allocated already to the town.

We are currenlty looking for a Rotary Club in a bushfire affected area to partner with to help provide long term aid to survivors as they try to get their lives back on track.
